Common Rifle and Handgun Weapons
The following Military and Commercial type weapons are commonly found throughout the world today.

The International Ballistic Testing Standards are a set of testing standards used to qualify a product's ballistic performance against any of the firearms listed below.

These standards define the test parameters in which products must be tested. These parameters include the bullet type and the projectile's velocity range.

Any threats from calibers not specifically mentioned in the Standards, can defeated by products designed to meet the next higher caliber level. For example, an AK47's 7.62x39mm round can be defeated by a product designed to stop a 7.62x51mm NATO round. In this case, the EN1063, NIJ, and UL752 all have specific 7.62x51mm NATO ballistic standards.
